  • Cuts Cuts Cuts Campaign

In Spring 2025, the UK Labour Party announced £5 billion savings by making cuts to welfare. Personal Independent Payment (PIP), Universal Credit and Carers benefits would all be impacted. This would have a devastating impact on the lives of millions of disabled people. Making working impossible for some and pushing people most severely ill into a poverty trap.
We set up the Cuts Cuts Cuts Campaign in response. See more from the Campaign in our arts section.

We're also amplifying the voices of other organisations.

    Welfare Bill 2nd Reading

    Reasoned Amendment

We're one of 138 disability organisations who backed a reasoned amendment to take place before the Second Reading of the Welfare Bill (July 2025) designed to make £5-£7 billion in welfare cuts. Although unfortunately, ultimately unsuccesful, with 335 MPs voting in favour of the Bill and 260 voting for it to be dropped, it nevertheless garnered enough MPs' backing to require a vote in July 2025.
